Pastor Philip & Beverly Nissley

Senior Pastor

Pastor Philip & Bev are ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God and have pastored here since 1992. They are graduates of Central Bible College. He has a Masters Degree from AGTS. Our pastor is passionate about the Holy Spirit & Evangelism, serving 18 years as President of Taylor Ministerial, leading big services/outreaches in our community. They pastored in Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, Greenville, SC & Denver, CO before Taylor, MI. They have been married 51 years and have 2 Children, Heather & Ryan, both AG pastors.

Heather Nissley

Finance, Worship, and Kids Pastor

Pastor Heather Nissley is a graduate with a Bachelor’s in Science in Church Ministries from North Central University, Minneapolis, MN (2000). She has been a Licensed Pastor with the Assemblies of God since 1998. Pastor Heather has held positions in Macedonia, Iowa, and Georgia. Her love for people and Jesus was further developed with two years graduating from Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, CA (2016-2018). Here at New Hope, she has led a most successful Kid Ministry with ministry both in KidNation Ministries as well as many foreign missions trips. She also serves in finance and worship ministries. Her heart is to see people walk in their Kingdom identity, to see justice in the earth, and the lost to come to know Jesus. Pastor Heather loves revival! She works with a group of trained volunteers each year that help serve in Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary Ministries. Her love for people spills over in worship and mission. Some of her hobbies include exercise, reading good books from the library, video games, water sports, and loving kids and youth.

Dr. Tunishai Ford

Adult Singles Team Lead

Tunishai attended Ashland Seminary and is the author of four books. She has a real heart for Women having founded “Your Own Uniqueness, Inc.”. She also oversees the “Step Up” Non Profit Program. Tunishai is a Transformation Life Coach and committed to assisting Adult Singles find purpose and relationships through teaching, lunches, and trips throughout the year.

Grant & Holly Smith

Youth Ministry Team Lead & Media Team Lead

Grant and his wife Holly (of 14 years) met while attending Spring Arbor University. He has coached Softball, loves sports and along with his wife has a heart for the youth of this generation. They have seen spiritual & numerical growth in our group the past two years. They currently provide Sunday AM & Wednesday Youth Service, lesson plans, inspiring youth to use their talents and enjoy fun monthly activities.

Holly has attended Spring Arbor University (where she met her husband), Mott Community College and Christian Life School of Theology Global. She has great computer tech ability, knowledge of website development, digital designs, social media, sound board, video downloading, production, & cutting videos for church services. She also serves in Youth Ministry, Worship & Kids.

Marilyn Russ

Prayer & Absentee Care Team Lead

Marilyn has a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan Univ. She’s been a Teacher, faithful Believer and avid Prayer Intercessor for over 30 years. She loves to encourage people with Scripture and has compassion for those in tough situations. Marilyn loves to pray and see God answer prayer. She coordinates a Team of Intercessors to Pray as needs are called to her home, ch. office or shared online.

Tom Drake

Ushers & Security Team Lead

Tom is a businessman committed to God and ministry excellence. He and his staff care about the well being of our worshippers at services and special events. His team hold First Aid Certificates from a recent training session as well as CPL credentials to insure people’s care and safety while on our property.

Beverly Nissley

Women’s Ministry Team Lead

Beverly has a Christian Ed. Degree from Central Bible College, Springfield, MO. She has been an Assemblies of God Pastor’s wife and Women’s Ministries Director over many years. She has a passion for women to know their identity and purpose in God, and how to be victorious. She offers annual conferences, weekly classes, oversees seasonal outreaches, and a new monthly “Meet Up” group.
